It has bin a while since ive posted a message. And again a lot has happend!
In Dali ive had some crazy nights with the Australian guys. Almost hard to remember i notice. We went to a restaurant and nexst to us were sitting a group of
older Chinese local guys. We greeted them all together and within 2 seconds they offered us cigarettes and Chinese wine. That stuff can be used as gasoline for airplanes! Its all on video, haha! After that we visited a Chinese ' disco'. Terrible Chinese music and songs but so much fun we had!! We went on stage to dance with the Chinese, shout and just do stupid! At one moment everyone left the stage except me and the two guys that were presenting the evening. The next morning i heared that these guys asked me to get of stage ( in Chinese ) , but ofcourse i didnt understand that. I heared this the next morning Australian guy said : Man, that was fuck'n classic! I just blamed the alcohol...
Next day it was time to leave for all of us! I had to leave at 910am. My bus to Kunming left 930am. Once in that bus i met Coru. A cute Chinese girl. She was crazy about Shangri-La ( not the song ) I told her i was there as well...but she didnt understood i suppose, cause she showed me about 200 pics. Friendly as i was watched them all! In Kunming her plane was leaving at 625pm and my nightttrain at the same time. So we both had to wait for 4 hrs. She asked me if i wanted to join her to a park in Kunming. And thats what we did. She teached me some Chinese and i teached her some English. It was fun! Time passed by and it was time to say goodbye!
I arrived at the trainstation and still had to wait for an hour or so. Kinda boring. Ticketcheck started so i joined the line. I wasnt sure wich part of the train i had. Was it train 3 or 11 ?? Hard to see on the ticket. I supposed it was 3...that was quite a walk to the train, but lucky as i was, it had to be 11. So all the way back i had to go! I was a bit nervous cause i never took a nighttrain before and the Chinese girl warned to watch my stuff carefully. I hoped i shared my cabine with normale people! All was ok!! I had to middle top bed of 3. So nobody would sit on my bed. Good thing.
Suddenly a Western girl came in the train. She was struggeling with her bags and she had the top-bed. Not easy to get in!! I wished her good luck! Once the train moved i asked her if she wanted to join for a drink in the restaurant. She said yes and we had a talk for 4 hrs or so. Her name is Hilla and living in Haifa Israel. She talked about life overthere and about many other subjects we talked. She asked me if i wanted to join her for a day to Guilin. I said i wasnt sure and would answer the day after. She was travelling with a friend but they had an argument so both decided not travel together anymore for a while.
The train arrived in Guilin and i decided to join her. Why not?? We found a hostel close to the trainstation. Once there the only room available was a twin-room. I said before i prefered a private room and she wanted a dorm, but both were not available. No choice, but i really didnt mind ;)
That evening we went to some pubs and had good fun! Next morning we checked out and together we went to Yangshuo. I already found a nice place just outside the busy city with all the shops and bars. At daytime we walked around a bit but it started to rain and didnt stop for a while. The scenery here is beautifull!! Amazing landscape, hard to describe! Around the hostel here you sometimes see a ' duckshepperd' with about 20 ducks, chickens and dogs walking around. Really nice!!
Yesterday we did a balloontrip above the landscape here!! Damn...again...no words!!! Just see the pics!! It was a nice end of our companionship, cause sadly enough she wanted to celebrate Jewish NewYear in Hongkong. Ofcourse she had to stick to her plan...So last night i joined her to the busstation and we said goodbye. But im sure we meet up again in Holland or Israel, or both, haha!
Im sure i have forgotten some things to tell. And some people here are waiting i think to use the computer. So pics will come later!! Also have some videos with the Aussie guys!
Take care all overthere!!! Hope all is good!
Greets,
Jelmer.
